3″ inch enamel dial scaled to 100 nautical miles, two subsidiary dials. Green lacquered brass drum casing.
Attached to a compass joint, on a display mount, Height. level 7 in. Taffrails are used to determine boat speed.
This piece was sourced from a local museum, located on City Island, New York. Hence, the catalog number marked on the base.

An exceptionally nice, and very rare piece! This was imported from France by the family I am selling for, back in the 70's. Solid old Oak, circa 1800's. Compartmental interior. Original rope side handles. Solid and very sturdy. Can stand on it's own as a display piece or could make a unique coffee table! I have glass or marble that will fit the top (additional). I also have the original receipt to prove authenticity. Comes from a clean upscale home.

Unsure of exact age...probably 1960 - 1980's era. These most likely come from the
Beverly Hills Country Club in California (but, not 100% sure and not guaranteed).
This sign is old and authentic. It is NOT a reproduction piece! Indoor or outdoor use.
Looks awesome hanging or mounted.
